Hello, welcome to the page about Lightworks Script for Linux.

Refer always to this page if you share them, so there won't be milion of copies not updated around the world.

I will do my best to adjust, debug, etc them... even add if I could.

Inside the Archive you should see also a README file. Read it before start.

To use the stabilizer you have to compile the FFMPEG with VIDSTAB plugins to make it work. The compiled FFMPEG has to be in your HOME DIRECTORY and has to be called: "ffmpeg-dev". IT IS MANDATORY!

Said so, we could start:

Please, pick it up the package that contains the scripts, from here: Ligtworks-Assist-ScriptPack.tar.gz

MD5 file hash of Ligtworks-Assist-ScriptPack.tar.gz: 3b630ca944963ad505f1c7d8bbf3cf92

STEP 1

Check the files inside the archive

STEP 2

Unzip them all in a folder you would like

/home/[your username]

STEP 3

Now you will need the superuser right, that on Ubuntu (example) is granted using sudo. At this point, be careful of what you will do!

*NEVER NEVER NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT: sudo rm -rf / This command will delete all the files on your computer wihout point of return!*

3.1

So, open the Terminal and move on the folder where they're the files you've extracted

cd /home/[your username]

3.2

Copy these file on your root, keeping these exact locations:

sudo cp -vr opt/ usr/ /

. After that a password will be ask, it will be your user password. This command, actually, copy the folders

opt/ usr/ /

to your local root directory.

STEP 4

I advice you to change the where your footage is, changing:

You should see that...
Maybe just with three selections instead of six... since you actually do not need them :)

Now the script you will choose, will open a terminal where you can see the progress of it.
When it's DONE, will show you some messages for the next procedure.

ENJOY!
